This is my favorite part of the site. It is where I get to enjoy going through other artists playing styles, record my own videos and show you what I've discovered about them on my own over the years, either from listening to the CDs, MP3s, going to the concerts and watching the artists perform, reading guitar magazine articles with the artists, using the Internet to figure out what they are doing, asking them personally or simply a combination of all of the above. I will begin with one of the greatest tragedies.....DIMEBAG DARRELL (RIP) or Darrell Lance Abbott of PANTERA Okay lets start with Cowboys from Hell: Primal Concrete Sledge: - I used to listen to this song probably the most when I first listened to Pantera because of the just phenomenal and very audible double bass drumming by Vinnie Paul. It is pretty impossible to sing it or really perform it properly unless you ARE Pantera, but damn it rocks. I find the guitar tone a little bitey (1990s for you) but the playing is KILLER. I'll make something to show you my thoughts and post it shortly...just getting going on this kids. Domination: The coolest thing about this song is the live performance of it they did in Russia with Metallica and some other bands. All i can do here is post the video. Enough said.
